    he wanted to be a professional footballer when he was a kid so these are like childhood memories..like with the playground and stuf..

    I think the significance of the guys playing footie is that the song is a story of a lad growing up, doing boyish things, playin footie, havin a laugh etc. Its all the boys together in the playgroud. I think if they done anything else it could risk beeing too cheesy as it is not the easiest song to make a vid 4. Most music vids don't make sense anyway.
    Going 2 c Pete in Glasgow on Tuesday and can't wait, it's gonna be amazing.

    Fantastic video. The relevance of them playin footie must be due to the fact the song is about growing up, being with your mates etc. The best way to portray this without being cheesy is just to have all the boys together in the running round the playground.
    Going to see Peter on Tuesday in Glasgow, can't wait. SM.xx

    I don't know, love him as I do I can imagine that this is the weakest song on the album. I don't find the video too brilliant either. And he looks like a scary preacher in those wide-brimmed hats....

    I won't knock it, it was allright. Visually it doesn't matter what is there as long as it's a good song. The ending was a little weird, don't see how it ties into the rest of the video.

    I kind of liked the other video with the song in it where it's Babyshambles playing, the one where he gives a flag away a the end.

    Whatever, lets hear some more music!

    surprised at all the er...surprise at the final scene - i thought that was the touch that made the vid interesting, a perfect twist, and elevates the whole idea of "footie with yr mates" to a whole other romantic level, fools a bit with anybody who is still all laddish yet a peter fan, ane makes the video worth a second view for all the shared glances missed between the footballers/lovers.
